Earning Airpoints Dollars™ 

Qantas operated flights with an NZ flight number (e.g. NZ7000) domestically within Australia will earn Airpoints Dollars based on the earning rates in the Partner flights section of the Airpoints Dollars earning rates look up table.

Earning Status Points

Qantas operated flights with an NZ flight number (e.g. NZ7000) domestically within Australia will earn Status Points based on the earning rates in the Partner flights section of the Airpoints Dollars earning rates look up table.

Spending Airpoints Dollars

Domestic Australian Qantas flights, purchased in conjunction with an Air New Zealand operated international connection can be purchased using Airpoints Dollars, directly from the Air New Zealand website.

Alternatively, Airpoints members can spend Airpoints Dollars on domestic Australian Qantas flights by purchasing reward tickets through our Partner Airline reward flight portal.

Airpoints Elite and Gold benefits

Airpoints Elite and Gold members may use Qantas Club domestic lounges, with one guest, when travelling on a domestic Qantas flight with an NZ flight number. Simply show your boarding pass and your Elite or Gold membership card at the entrance. 

No other frequent flyer benefits apply on Qantas flights (see baggage allowance section).

No Koru benefits apply.

Baggage Allowance

No additional frequent flyer checked baggage allowance applies to Qantas flights, including those with an NZ flight number.

If your journey includes a Qantas flight, even if you are beginning this journey with Air New Zealand, Airpoints members may only check in the ticketed baggage allowance and no additional frequent flyer allowance is permitted.

Please note: Additional frequent flyer baggage entitlements do not apply on any Qantas operated sectors and excess baggage fees may apply.
